Qingyuan stands in the northwest of Guangdong Province and in the middle and lower reaches of the Beijiang River. It is located in a joint belt that links up the Pearl River Delta Valley and the mountainous areas of northern Guang-dong. From Qingyuan, it takes merely 30 minutes to Guangzhou, 60 minutes to Foshan, 90 minutes to Shenzhen. It has constructed main traffic backbone consisting of Beijing-Zhuhai Express-way and Guangzhou-Qingyuan Express-way, main traffic trunk lines consisting of #106 and #107 National Highway, #323 Highway, major traffic pulse consisting of Beijing-Guangzhou rail-way, major water navigation line consisting of the Beijiang River and its tributary. It is the forefront part that receives radiation of Hong Kong, Macao Taiwan and the Pearl River Delta. After the New Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport which is merely 28 kilometres from Qingyuan was put into oparatim on Aug.5 this year, Qingyuan has constituted a crisscross three-dimensional traffic network by air, water and land.

Qingyuan has long been known as 'thoroughfare of three provinces of Guangdong, Hunan and Guangxi'. It links Guangzhou in the south, borders Hunan Province in the north and neighbors Guangxi Province in the west. It is thoroughly linked up with all the inland provinces either by railway highway or waterway. For investment projects without tough competitiveness to corresponding trades and not to be subject to examination and approval of state or province, the investors may first submit advance name registry, project registry to the Center for exami-nation and approval. After that, business license certificate will be issued by the industrial & commercial administration department. Departments such as environment protection, fire-prevention, health, should follow up with services according to law. When enterprises involved in special trades such as inflammables, explosives, public gathering, entertainment apply for operative business licenses, certificate their construction plans should be subject to examination of fire-prevention and environment protection departments according to relating policies stipulated by the state. The enterprises will not be put into operation until their plans pass the examination and verification of the above departments and reach standards set by the state.

Increasingly improve service attitude and enhance work efficiency.
